See what Which? Magazine has to say about PPI
If you've borrowed money in the last six years in the form of credit cards, a loan –car or consolidation, or a mortgage? If so, it is likely that you have been sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) and you could be owed thousands of pounds in compensation.
Payment Protection Insurance, or PPI, is insurance that is meant to pay out a sum of money to help you continue paying your monthly payments on credit cards, store cards, catalogue payments, mortgages and a car loan if you are unable to work. This is normally as a result of sickness, accident or unemployment and due to no fault of your own.
However, many of these policies were sold without your knowledge by the salesman for the commission and the full cost of the extra policy was not explained or was sold inappropriately. Research has shown that there are ten top reasons why you may not benefit from the PPI when it comes to making a claim and why you may be entitled to some compensation.
These are FIVE REASONS WHY YOU MAY HAVE GROUNDS FOR COMPENSATION
1. You were under
18 or over 65
2. You worked less than 16 hours a week
3. You were employed on a temporary
or contract basis
4. You suffered from stress or backache
5. You had an existing
illness
....more about PPI......
Now you can do one of three things with this information;
1. Contact the people who mis-sold you the PPI and find out if you are in fact covered and try and get some compensation yourself.
2. Do nothing and hope the law will change and any compensation you are entitled to will be refunded. But bear in mind you may already have done nothing about Unfair Bank Charges and are either now in a long list of people waiting for the results of the High Court case or wait until the banks win the case in which case you'll probably get nothing. If you wait long enough the banks will probably realise that people are getting wise to them and challenge the PPI claims.
3. Take the first steps to making a claim for compensation. You can ask for a risk-free assessment of your chances of a reclaim and find out what the other top five reasons are by simply calling the following FREEPHONE number; 0800 298 9358 or text 07542 055585 with PPI as the message (with a contact number where we can call you back) or email helpdesk@therefundsexpert.co.uk with PPI as the subject matter along with a best time/date and number to call you. There is no obligation and nobody will call at your home. Everything can be done by 'phone, post, or email.
Or you can get an assessment of your claim by going to the Claims Financial website and filling in a form. Just ‘click’ on the banner on the right of this page..
